DCW Ltd strengthens partnership with Dart Music Festival to make 2025 event more sustainable

Devon Contract Waste (DCW), a leading provider of waste management and recycling solutions in Devon, is announced as a Diamond Sponsor of the 2025 Dart Music Festival, which takes place from 16th – 18th May in Dartmouth.  Having supported the festival since 2017,  DCW is once again stepping up to ensure this popular community event is as waste-conscious and eco-friendly as possible.

The Dart Music Festival, a highlight of the region’s cultural calendar, attracts thousands of visitors each year with a diverse lineup of musical performances. DCW has worked closely with the festival team to reduce waste, improve recycling efforts and promote sustainability. All festival waste will be collected and sorted in Devon to ensure that everything that can be recycled is recycled.

“Dart Music Festival is incredibly grateful to DCW for their continued support of our special event,” said Simon Geen, Chair of DMF. “We know how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful corner of Devon and are mindful of the impact our festival could have on our local environment. We work closely with the fantastic team at DCW to ensure that our audiences have plenty of opportunities to dispose of their waste responsibly, that our town is left spick and span after the weekend and most importantly, that nothing goes to landfill. Big thanks to our committee members who regularly pick litter over the weekend and again to DCW, who have generously donated new equipment for the task this year.”

Preparations are already well underway for this year’s festival. The DCW team has already visited the site, delivering essential litter pickers and recycling bags. As part of DCW’s bespoke plan tailored to the festival’s needs, recycling bins will be delivered ahead of the festival, and the DCW team will be on hand to encourage festival-goers to make use of the recycling facilities and contribute to a sustainable Devon.

“We’re incredibly proud to continue our partenership with Dart Music Festival,” said Grant Scott, General Manager at DCW. “For the past eight years, we’ve worked alongside the festival team to help make this fantastic event more sustainable. Festivals generate a significant amount of waste, but with the right planning and infrastructure, we can make a real difference and ensure that as much as possible is recycled.”

DCW has been managing business waste in Devon responsibly since 1989, increasing recycling rates, reducing waste sent to landfills, and helping businesses improve their environmental performance. Now, as part of SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK, DCW combines its local expertise with SUEZ’s extensive regional network and sector-leading experts to deliver the best possible service to its customers.
